General info

SPRINTAN® Solid solution polymerised styrene butadiene rubber is produced by anionic batch polymerisation and is available in a wide variety of styrene and vinyl contents.

SPRINTAN® S-SBR provides excellent balance between wet grip, rolling resistance and dry handling in silica and carbon black compounds for high-performance tyres. They are also used for the manufacture of high quality technical rubber goods.

Trinseo’s SPRINTAN® Solution Styrene Butadiene Rubbers are produced at Trinseo’s world class production facility in Schkopau, Germany resulting in a product of exceptional consistency and quality delivering excellent processability resulting in high degrees of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

The SPRINTAN® range of new solution styrene butadiene rubber provides outstanding wet grip/rolling resistance for fuel efficient tyre treads based on silica and/or carbon black. The SPRINTAN® SLR-4602 bears a GENERATION 2 functionalisation for improved polymer/filler interaction.

Portfolio

The SPRINTAN® Solution Styrene Butadiene Rubber product range currently comprises four non-staining types with a range of styrene and vinyl contents. They are all produced by anionic solution polymerisation using an organo-lithium initiator. SPRINTAN® SLR 4602 is partially coupled and bears a GENERATION 2 functionalisation for improved polymer/filler interaction with carbon black as well as with silica.
